Unsurprisingly, New Year’s is a huge time for people to join a smoking cessation program. It’s one of the larger recruiting opportunities for the marketing department. This year, we leveraged one of the tips from the program materials – distracting yourself with a mint or gum. I liked that the classic “Starlight” mint gives a nod to Christmas colors without being too locked into the holiday theme. I also wanted that sort of old fashioned advertising feel with the big “glamour shot” of the mint and some fun type. It was a simple campaign, but wildly popular with the clients.
